Null hypothesis significance testing is the most commonly used tool for statistical inference. Depending on the type of data and data collection, the exact test will differ and being able to select the correct test for a given situation is an essential scientific skill. In this presentation we will discuss identification of a suitable test and show how many of the common tests relate to each other in that they are specific cases of linear models.
